Got Snow
This weekend was awesome! My residence did a camping trip called "Got Snow." Basically we go out to a scout camp (there's a heated cabin, but it was nice enough that we had a couple people sleeping in tents outside) and we have crazy amounts of fun. The first night, we made hot chocolate by melting snow over a camp fire, and I got to sing a bunch of songs, that I thought I had forgotten, from girl guides when we had campfires. Then we stayed up playing games and chatting until four in the morning XD. I apparently have crazy card pyramid building skills, and when I figure out how to put pictures up. . . I will.
The second day, we had a massive snow football game. It was really awesome because the night before, it rained, and so there was a thin layer of ice on top if the foot and a half of snow. It was crunchy snow, and when you break it by dropping, it makes a fun breaking glass noise. In some places it was hard enough to stand on, and in other places you'd sink down, which made for a really interesting football match. For dinner, which was at about 10pm, we made our own pizza's which were delicious. After that a bunch of us went out to go star gazing to a corn field, but when we got there, the clouds covered the sky, so we just pushed each other around on our backs on the for mentioned layer of ice (which was thicker on the corn field). Then we went to the campfire for a bit, and the clouds cleared up, so we went out to the field again. We stayed up late again playing games and such, but we lost an hour because of daylight savings time, which kinda sucked, but oh well, I guess I just have to go to bed earlier tonight.
This morning, we have crepes and waffles for breakfast, with all sorts of toppings including. . . . FRESH PINEAPPLE! I was excited (clearly) and it was delicious. Then we had to leave, and I got to squish into the middle of the front seat (you know between the driver and the passenger) with my backpack on my lap. What fun. XD Now I'm tired and need a shower (and I'm a smokey pair of pants and sweater closer to laundry Blah >.< ).
